We caught up with Alyssa Kuchta of FYB jewelry in Brooklyn this week. Alyssa has built her company designing everyday staple pieces that make you want to layer and play! With her showroom just around the corner from our Greenpoint location, Alyssa is a neighbor and a Marmalade favorite.
Marmalade Brooklyn: How would you describe your personal style?
Alyssa: Classic, Feminine, & laidback. I love a lacy detail, a silky slip dress, a bold floral print, and anything high-waisted.
Marmalade Brooklyn: When did you fall in love with fashion?
Alyssa: My love for fashion began playing dress up in my grandmother's jewelry box as a little girl. She had an amazing collection of baubles and vintage jewelry, and our playtime together would usually be sitting on her bed together and going through each piece and trying it on together. I think my fascination with beautiful accessories really began there.
Marmalade Brooklyn: What are a few of your current favorite FYB pieces?
Alyssa: I love a bold pearl moment, and our Aurora Choker and Mari Necklaces are two of my favorite statement pearl styles from our Fall collection. I love that they can both be dressed up or down depending on how you style them. I also live in gold jewelry, and our Harley dome earrings make any outfit feel more polished.
Marmalade Savannah: What is your favorite place to get a drink or dinner in your neighborhood?
Alyssa: Bar Americano and Little Rascal for cocktails. For dinner, MaLa Project, Le Gamin, and Rule of Thirds. It's way too hard to choose! :)
